Get Your Crew Involved
Be Part of Something Bigger
Footprints for Our Future is a perfect opportunity for schools, kura, and community groups to get involved in hands-on environmental action. Whether you’re planting trees, cleaning up a local awa, or attending the evening event, this kaupapa is about coming together for a better future.
We welcome groups of all sizes and ages — from early childhood centres to community trusts and youth organisations. It’s about connection, contribution, and learning by doing.
Leadership, teamwork, and a sense of local pride
Why and How to Get Involved
Taking part in Footprints for Our Future is a chance to connect, contribute, and make a lasting impact. For schools and community groups, it’s a meaningful way to engage with environmental issues while building leadership, teamwork, and a sense of local pride. You might:
Organise a clean-up or planting day
Attend the evening event with your group
Collaborate with a local Rotary club
Share your stories and outcomes on social media
Create signage, posters, or artwork around the kaupapa
This kaupapa supports curriculum goals, encourages real-world learning, and helps build stronger ties between schools, community groups, and the environment.
